Location

This module uses free weather data from yr.no to display current weather conditions from anywhere in the world. Forecasts for up to 11 days are included. Data for more than 14.000 places worldwide is included for easy weather display.

The old branch, 7.x-1.x, uses METAR (METeorological Aerodrome Report) data to display current weather conditions from anywhere in the world.

This project is succeeded by the Mapping Kit.

The Carto module makes the mappingwidgets framework available to nodes in Drupal. This enables the browsing of maps (available from opengis compliant web mapping services) in drupal nodes.

General functionality:

• carto filter to include mapping widgets in any drupal node
• default block for an overview map (with zoom in functionality) or a simple legend
• custom blocks can be defined using the carto filter containing any type of mappingwidget; e.g. a custom overview/legend block or a button-block.
• node type for specifying opengis web mapping services; block and RSS feeds for recently added WMS'es; ogc getmap/getcapabilities request can be done through drupal.
• RSS feeds for recent maps (per user or overall)

The GMap module provides an interface to the Google Maps API within Drupal. It integrates with the Location module to provide users a clickable map for entering latitude and longitude, as well as to display maps of Drupal nodes and users. GMap can be used to create interactive maps with various map markers and content in map bubbles, taking advantage of Drupal's other content management features. The module also provides a Views display plugin which allows users to display the results of a view on a Google map.

A simple APIs for retrieving country related information from a given IP address. As well as providing an API that other modules can use for their purpose, ip2cc is also able to hook into nodes and comments to provide additional information about the poster, such as country code, country flag (icon), network name, and autonomous system number.

Upload and display GPX files (GPS logs)

This was a project for the original Location module, no longer needed or pertinent.

GeoRSS can be used to make RSS feeds location aware. This allows end-users to display feeds of content on a map built with Open Layers, the Google Maps API, or similar libraries and applications. More information can be found at: http://georss.org/

The KML module allows for views export of location-specific data in KML format.

Keyhole Markup Language (KML) is a file format used to display geographic data in an Earth browser such as Google Earth and Google Maps. See the KML Documentation Introduction.

Map module provides 3 main components:

• A new node type "map". Each map is basically a google map.
• A tinymce plugin with a map selector.
• A filter so you can insert the created map in your nodes.

This is the start of a Yahoo Maps module. Right now, it is very basic and just inserts a Yahoo map into a node teaser and body, based on information stored by the location module in the location table.

Near term development will add more configuration options and support for the overlay of GeoRSS feeds.
