volunteer

This module allows visitors to the site to volunteer for an event and provides the site administrator with comprehensive Volunteer management tools to keep track of Volunteers, tasks and communication.

Volunteer module extends event.module (4.6 revision or higher) to allow visitors to volunteer for an event. There is a managed email correspondence with the volunteer, as well as the ability to rate their volunteer performance at the end. It allows admins to further designate users as 'volunteer coordinators' who can be designated as the contact person for volunteers for an event.

This module previously relied on another module (contact_manager.module) to handle contact information for volunteers. The contact_manager.module is no longer supported. Volunteer in CVS requires the CiviCRM module.

This differs from RSVP in that it is built around the idea of allowing the organizers of a specific event to find and manage helpers via their drupal-powered website. It was developed for Music for America and successfully organized over 3,000 volunteers in the year 2004.
